When it comes to marriage, Love knows NO boundaries – appearance, size, status in life and now even gender. But some people question the love between normal person and one who’s not? When someone is marrying a handicapped or any kind of human with imperfection, questions, doubts, and sometimes accusations are being raised. It seems and it feels like, people with deformities doesn’t deserve love and marriage from opposite sex.
It’s really painful that people are treating them like an excess baggage. Some people even treat them like a freak, make fun of and belittle them. Well that’s one fact in this cruel world, when you’re different people will look at you like you’re not even human. But people with disability deserve some love too, they also deserve a happy life and that’s what this story is all about…
Meet Mindie Kniss and his tiny husband Sean Stephenson, a larger than life couple that proves love knows no bounds.
The inspiring couple, who are now both motivational speakers, met through a mutual friend in 2009 and married in September 14, 2012.
Sean was born with rare bone disorder Osteogenesis Imperfecta, better known as Brittle Bone Disorder.
The disorder stunted his growth and causes his bones to be extremely fragile. By 18, he’d already suffered over 200 bone fractures.
Though there’s a big difference between the two, they conquer all the odds and proved that it’s not the physical appearance that counts, but the love and acceptance for each other.
Here’s their touching wedding video:
The couple now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, but despite their happiness they are often targeted by internet trolls who suggested that Sean could never satisfy Mindie sexually and that she is with him only for his money.
However the couple has a strong perseverance to not let critics stand in the way of their happiness.
Mindie insists her 2ft 8in hubby is more than man enough for her.
“Most people think I look past his disability, when his physical differences are clearly obvious. There is full acceptance here. We all have challenges – it’s just his are visible.”
The couple is also happy to confirm they have a great sex life.
“Just because he’s disabled doesn’t mean we don’t have an awesome sex life.” Mindie said. “Our sex life is bigger and better than most couples we know.” she added.
