- Farmer discovered a rat with a plant growing at its back
- Datar Singh has planted bean crop in the Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, India when he came across the poor rat.
- The rat seems to be in ‘immense pain’ after ending up with a soy bean sapling growing right out of its body.
Mr. Singh was shocked to find a rodent with growing soy bean sapling at its back after inspecting his soy crops which he planted earlier this year.
The footage showed that the rat seems to be in immense pain and struggling to move with the growth and wasn’t able to escape when people comes to inspect it.

The witnesses tried to turn the rat over to check how did it happened but they ended up to have no clue at all.
At first, Datar thought it was just a prank but upon check, he realized it was the real thing and believed that a soya bean seed must have fallen into an open wound on the rat’s back and started germinated and begun to grow.
The head of the department of biology at a college in nearby Barnagar, Professor A Siddiqui, revealed that the plant could have caused the rodent to suffer even more.
“It’s a miracle. Though the plant had grown in the region near the neck, there was no brain damage,” he said.
Meanwhile, the farmer then brought the impaled rat to his home and managed to remove the plant from its back. Hopefully the poor creature will heal soon, and probably will stay away from soya bean farm for so long.
