A goat gives birth to a bizarre looking animal in the Philippines that resembles a “half-pig half-human” and local think it’s a cursed ‘mutant devil’.
- Farmer’s goat gave birth to a half-human half-pig.
- Owner Josephine Repique, 40, were shocked and can’t explain how it looks like that
- The two infant and the mother all died and locals sparked fear it was ‘a cursed mutant devil’
Shocked farmer and owner Josephine Repique, 40, said her pregnant goat gave birth earlier this month on her small farm in Sultan Kudarat.
A vet was needed to perform C-section to remove the two babies from their mother’s womb but witnesses were stunned to realized that something was not right.
One of the baby was born without fur and seems to have shiny, pale skin with trotters and much bigger than its litter-mate.
Josephine said the baby “looked like a pig, with a mix of human”.
She added, “We were shocked. We can’t explain how it looks like that. All our neighbors flocked into our house to get a good look.”
Unfortunately, the two infant and the mother all died and this sparked fears to superstitious locals thinking that the creature was a cursed “mutant devil” that brought bad luck.
Josephine said, “Nobody knows what it is, but it’s not a goat. It’s scary. We’re all wondering why it happened and if it is bad luck.”

However, according to Dr Agapita Salces of the Institute of Animal Science of the University of the Philippines, the fetus appeared to have suffered a genetic mutation in the womb.
He said “It is a possible case of genetic mutation. It is also possible that the mother contracted a disease called Rift Valley fever from mosquito bites and this caused the impaired development of the infant.”
