Ma Yun, famously known as Jack Ma is the Founder and executive chairman of multi-billion internet-based company Alibaba. He is one of the richest man in China with a net worth of 22.7 billion USD. Jack Ma is the first mainland Chinese entrepreneur to appear on the cover of Forbes.

But despite being rich, he left the world stunned when he shared that his happiest moment was not about his billions.

Believe it or not his happiest days were when he was working as a teacher and earning less than US$15 a month.

Most of us will probably think this is all cracked up, but for the man who’s experienced both very low and very high incomes, this is his reality.

In his recent interview, Jack Ma shared his thoughts on wealth and happiness and stated that China’s happiest people are those earning US$3,000 to US$4,500 a month (currency converted).

According to him; “People earning US$3,000, US$4,500, or US$6,000 a month “can have a little house, and a car, and a family.”

“There’s nothing happier than that, that is a happy life,”

“Once you get beyond a few million, the troubles start coming up.”

“The more money you have, the more things you have to do.” he added.
