“Scared to Death” this is what probably happened to a dozen monkeys who were found dead by locals in a forest clearing in the Kotwali Mohammadi in India.

At first, vets thought that the primates were poisoned and post-mortems were carried out.

But the test revealed the monkeys died from a simultaneous heart attack.

Vets claimed that the only explanation is that they were scared to death by a big cat – probably a tiger.

Vet Dr. Sanjeev Kumar said, “It was confirmed in the post-mortem report that the monkeys died due to cardiac arrest. The monkeys could have died due to tiger’s roar as tigers often traverse that area.”

Villagers have reported tigers are often in the area and were heard roaring at the time of the deaths.
